About QUIT
Last updated: 14 October 2026
QUIT is an app for adults who want to quit porn: a porn blocker that’s hard to switch off on impulse, a Panic Button for the hard moments, and a companion that grows with every clean day. This page says who makes it, why, and how we write and check the guides on this site.
Who makes QUIT
QUIT is made by Obscura Vertex Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore. We’re a small team and we read every message.
- Help with the app or this site: support@quitpornblocker.com
- Privacy questions and data requests: privacy@quitpornblocker.com
Why QUIT exists
A blocker you can switch off in ten seconds doesn’t help in the moment you most want it off. And a streak counter on its own doesn’t help when the urge is loud at 1am. We wanted one app that does both jobs.
- Block porn in a way that holds. Filtering happens on your phone. With Strict Mode, turning protection off takes a 24-hour wait, or a yes from an accountability partner you trust.
- Help with the urge itself. A Panic Button to breathe through it, short audio lessons, a journal and an AI coach (a fox) for the late nights.
- Keep progress real. A slip restarts your streak, but it never erases the clean days you’ve earned. Your island keeps every one.
QUIT is for adults (18+) who want to block porn for themselves. It isn’t parental control, and it must never be used to monitor someone else. It’s a self-help tool, not medical care or therapy.
What we never do
- No links to adult sites. We don’t link to them or name them, on this site or in our guides.
- No selling data. We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.
- No ads. Not in the app, not on this site.
- No browsing history. The blocker works on your phone, and we never receive the sites you visit or which ones were blocked. Our privacy policy has the details.
- No ways around blockers. Our guides explain what makes a blocker hold, never how to get past one.
- No invented people. No made-up authors, reviewers, experts or user stories.
How we write and check our guides
Our guides are for someone who wants porn harder to reach, or who is in the middle of a hard night. Getting a step wrong costs them, so this is how we check what we publish.
Steps for phones, browsers and apps
- Steps start from the maker’s own help pages: Apple, Google, Samsung and so on. We cite the page under the steps, with the date we checked it (for example, “Steps from Apple Support, checked 14 Oct 2026”).
- We then follow the steps on real phones and add our own screenshots. A guide only says it was tested once that has actually happened, and then it names the device and the system version.
- Settings menus change with updates. When a reader tells us a step has moved, we re-check it and update the page.
Facts about other apps
- We make QUIT, and every comparison says so at the top.
- Every fact about another app (price, features, which phones it works on) comes from that app’s own website or store listing, or from published reporting we link to, and shows the date we checked it.
- Apps change their prices and features, so we re-check comparisons and update the date when we do.
Health and recovery topics
- Pages on health topics, such as withdrawal or sexual health, are reviewed by a qualified reviewer (a licensed psychologist or therapist) before they’re published, and the reviewer is named on the page.
- Pages that don’t name a reviewer, like our urge guides and private self-check, stick to common knowledge, say plainly that they aren’t a diagnosis or treatment, and link to their sources, such as the WHO’s ICD-11.
- We don’t diagnose anyone. We say “problematic use”, and we point you to a professional when it matters.
Dates and sources
- Every guide shows when it was last updated. We only change that date when we’ve actually re-checked the page.
- We link to our sources so you can check them yourself.
Found a mistake?
Email support@quitpornblocker.com with the page address and what’s wrong. If a step looks different on your phone, tell us the phone and system version, and send a screenshot if you can. We check every report, fix what’s wrong, and update the page’s date.
If QUIT blocks a site it shouldn’t (or misses one), email us the address and we’ll review it.
If you’re in crisis
If you’re thinking about harming yourself, or you’re in danger, please contact your local emergency number now, or find a free, confidential helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. QUIT’s coach is an AI and can’t help in an emergency.
