Covenant Eyes
Covenant Eyes alternatives, and what it really costs
Covenant Eyes costs $18 a month or $198 a year on its website, for up to 10 people. The best alternative depends on one question: do you want a person to see what’s on your screen, or do you mainly want porn blocked?
Quick answer: For screen or activity reports at a lower price for one person, look at Ever Accountable ($129 a year), Accountable2You ($121 a year, no screenshots) or Truple ($160 a year). For blocking without screenshots, look at Canopy, BlockerX or QUIT (ours). For free, use the filter built into your phone. If you want screenshots and a whole family covered on one plan, Covenant Eyes is still a strong choice.

How much does Covenant Eyes cost?
Covenant Eyes now sells one service, Victory by Covenant Eyes. On 14 October 2026 its pricing page listed:
- Monthly: $18 a month on the website, or $19.99 a month if you buy inside the app.
- Yearly: $198 a year on the website, or $219.99 a year in the app.
- Lifetime: $950, paid once.
- What it covers: up to 10 people in a family, on unlimited devices.
- Trial and refunds: a 7-day free trial with every feature, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Is there a free version? Partly. The free Victory app gives anyone daily commitments, check-ins, counsellor-reviewed mini-courses and a community. Screenshots, the ally’s activity feed and blocking need a paid plan.
Is it worth the price? For a family, one plan for up to 10 people is good value. For one person it’s the most expensive option here. Buying on the website instead of in the app saves about $22 a year.
Yearly cost compared

| Accountable2You | $121 (Personal) | 10 days |
| Truple | $160 | No free trial listed; 30-day money-back guarantee |

| BlockerX | $109.96 on its website | 1 day on the website’s yearly plan; 3-day money-back on lifetime |
| QUIT Porn Blocker (ours) | $49.99 | 7 days on the yearly plan |
| Free family DNS filter | Free | Not applicable |
How Covenant Eyes works: screenshots first, blocking second
Covenant Eyes is built on screen accountability. Its help centre explains the process:
- The Victory Shield app takes a screenshot at least once a minute.
- An AI scans it for explicit content, and the app shrinks and blurs it on your device before upload.
- Questionable screenshots are highlighted for your ally, the person you choose, in the Victory app or an email check-in.
- Screenshots are kept in the Victory app for up to 14 days.
- On iPhone, its App Store listing says screenshots come from Safari; explicit websites are reported and blocked in any app.
Blocking is included in every plan. You choose a Standard or Strong blocking level, can add your own blocked and allowed sites, and can turn on SafeSearch and YouTube Restricted Mode. On Android the filter uses a VPN-like process. A “Filter Guardian” can manage these settings for someone else.
Ratings: Victory Shield: 4.3 on the App Store (about 59,000 ratings), 4.4 on Google Play (about 11,700 reviews, 500K+ downloads).
What it does well: a real person is in the loop, one plan covers a whole family, and there’s human support by phone, chat and email.
Why people look for an alternative
- Screenshots feel like too much. Even blurred, some people don’t want a friend, spouse or pastor looking at their screen, and some allies don’t want the job.
- The price for one person. $198 a year is built for a family plan.
- Faith framing. Its Google Play listings call it the best solution for Christians looking to overcome porn. That’s a strength for many people and a mismatch for others.
- Android uninstalls are flagged, not stopped. Its help centre says you can uninstall from inside the app; the uninstall then shows in your ally’s activity feed.
- Cancelling takes a conversation. Website subscriptions are cancelled through Member Care, not with a button (steps below).
Free alternatives
Start here if money is the main reason you’re looking.
- Android: the built-in Private DNS setting can point your phone at a family-safe DNS service that blocks known adult sites in every app. See the Private DNS setup →
- iPhone: Screen Time has a free adult-website filter for Safari and other browsers. See the iPhone steps →
What they can’t do: there’s no ally, no screenshots and no delay. Switching them off takes a few taps, and nobody is told. They work best as a first layer.
Alternatives that report to a partner
These are closest to Covenant Eyes: someone you trust sees what you do online.
Ever Accountable
$14.99 a month or $129 a year for one person on unlimited devices, with a 14-day free trial and refunds within 90 days. Partners get reports of your activity with anything inappropriate highlighted, and are alerted to uninstall attempts. A free filter is optional on Android and iPhone. Runs on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, Chromebook and Kindle.
Good fit if you want Covenant Eyes-style reports for one person at a lower price.
Accountable2You
$11 a month or $121 a year (Personal, up to 6 installs), or $16 a month or $176 a year for a family, with a 10-day free trial. It reports browsing, including private browsing, plus app and device activity as it happens, and it doesn’t take screenshots. It doesn’t block anything. It also runs on Linux and Chromebook.
Good fit if you want a partner to see your activity without images of your screen.
Truple
$16 a month or $160 a year, which its pricing page says covers all devices in one family household, with a 30-day money-back guarantee (no free trial listed). It takes screenshots at random times, and you set the average gap from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. AI flags risky ones, and blurring is optional. Filtering is optional on iPhone and Android.
Good fit if you want screenshots but more control over how often they’re taken.
Alternatives that block without screenshots
Canopy
An AI filter that checks images, videos and pages as they load, from $8.33 a month billed yearly for one device. It began as a parental-control app and now has a page for adults, with a human partner or an “AI Ally” who must approve any request to lower protection. No screenshots or browsing reports. Our full Canopy comparison →
BlockerX
A widely used blocker (5M+ Google Play downloads) with a limited free version. Premium is $109.96 a year on its website and adds blocking in every browser, uninstall prevention on Android and daily partner reports. On Android it blocks mainly through the Accessibility service. Our full BlockerX review →
Where QUIT fits (ours)
QUIT is the one we make, so weigh this section with that in mind. It’s for adults who want porn blocked on their phone and want switching off to be slow, without screenshots.
- Android: adult sites blocked in every browser and app, SafeSearch locked on Google, Bing and YouTube. Filtering happens on the phone; your browsing is never sent to us.
- iPhone: Apple’s own Screen Time adult-website filter, plus an optional delete lock so QUIT can’t be removed on impulse.
- Strict Mode: switching protection off is a request that unlocks after 24 hours, or sooner if your partner approves. Most urges pass within minutes.
- A partner, if you want one: they see your streak, check-ins and any request to switch off. Never your browsing.
- Price: $49.99 a year after a 7-day free trial, or $9.99 a month. No free version. On Google Play now, with the button below; the iPhone app is in App Store review.
Where Covenant Eyes is better: QUIT has no screenshots, doesn’t run on computers, and covers one person per subscription. If you need someone to see what you actually did, or one plan for a family, Covenant Eyes fits better.
How to cancel Covenant Eyes
If you’ve decided to switch, here’s how its help centre says to cancel. Set up your new app first, so you’re never unprotected.
- Check how you paid. If you subscribed inside the app, cancel through Apple or Google: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- If you paid on the website, the Account Admin (or the cardholder) contacts Covenant Eyes Member Care by chat, email or phone. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:15 PM Eastern; you can email outside those hours.
- Confirm your identity. The agent verifies your account and cancels the subscription, and offers to help you uninstall.
- Look for the confirmation email. Covenant Eyes says it arrives within minutes.

How to choose
Ask yourself one honest question: what usually happens right before you slip? If it’s secrecy, accountability matters most, and screenshots or activity reports help. If it’s a few weak minutes alone with your phone, a blocker that’s slow to switch off matters most. Many people use both: a blocker for the moment, and one person who knows.

Neither has an ally or screenshots, and both are quick to switch off. Covenant Eyes’ own Victory app also has a free account with daily check-ins, mini-courses and a community, but screenshots and blocking need a paid plan.
Is there a Covenant Eyes alternative without screenshots?
Yes. Accountable2You reports your browsing and app activity without screenshots. Canopy, BlockerX and QUIT block porn without sending images of your screen to anyone.
Does Covenant Eyes work on iPhone?
Yes. Its Victory Shield App Store listing says screenshots on iPhone come from Safari, while explicit websites are blocked and reported from any app on the phone.
Why is Covenant Eyes so expensive?
One plan covers up to 10 people on unlimited devices and includes human support, so it is good value for a family. For one person, $198 a year is more than most alternatives, which run from free to about $160 a year.
